Animals and Habitats in the WInter. If buses are canceled, we don’t go. If it is too windy so that branches fall from the trees, we don’t go. NONE of those things seem likely in the forecast.
It cannot be too cold.
It cannot be too wet.
It cannot be too stormy.
We will be OUTSIDE most of the the day. Wear proper clothes. Bring extras if you have them, socks in particular. Believe it or not, even with heavy winter boots, your feet can get very sweaty with all the running around, once wet they will feel sore and cold. There is little that can make you feel better than fresh socks for the afternoon. Pack a litter less lunch. Put it in your backpack, with out the lunch bag. The whole backpack will be the lunch bag and in the spare pockets put extra hats, mitts and SOCKS. If anything changes I will post here on Friday, but it does not look like there is anything that can make our Field Centre trip anything but a roaring success.
